Redefining Urban Living
Born out of the South Nashville Action People (SNAP), Wedgewood+Houston SOCIAL aspires to meet the unmet needs of this dynamic neighborhood. As stewards of our local communities, we are keenly focused on how we can bring people together in thoughtful ways.
We believe that when we put people first, we make the world a better place. Wedgewood Houston Social (WHS) is a volunteer organization, recognized by the Metropolitan Nashville Government, that aims to improve the quality of life and economic opportunities for residents and businesses in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood. WHS works with local stakeholders, such as community leaders, civic groups, faith-based organizations, and public agencies, to identify and address the most pressing needs and challenges of each neighborhood. WHS provides various services and programs, such as community development, affordable housing, youth empowerment, workforce development, and environmental sustainability. WHS’s vision is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous urban neighborhoods that offers a high standard of living and a sense of belonging for all.
