A message from Chad:

As we approach the Fourth of July, I hope this message finds you well and in high spirits. On behalf of the Wedgewood Houston Social committee, I'd like to wish everyone a joyous Independence Day celebration. As we gather with loved ones to commemorate our nation's freedom, let's also take a moment to appreciate the strong sense of community we've fostered here in WeHo.

A warm welcome to all our new residents! We're delighted to have you join our vibrant and diverse neighborhood. Wedgewood Houston is known for its friendly atmosphere, rich history, and thriving arts scene. If you're still getting settled or have any questions about the area, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or any of our community leaders. We're here to help make your transition as smooth as possible.

I'm thrilled to announce an exciting new event coming to our neighborhood. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 9th, when we'll be hosting our first-ever Wedgewood Houston 'Sip + Shop' event. This evening will showcase our local businesses, artisans, and eateries. It's a perfect opportunity to explore what our community has to offer while enjoying refreshments and connecting with your neighbors. We'll be sending out more detailed information soon, including a map of participating locations and special offers for the evening.

For those who attended our June neighborhood meeting, thank you for your participation. We had an enlightening presentation on the Fort Negley Master Plan, which outlined future developments and preservation efforts for this significant historical site in our area. If you missed the meeting, don't worry - we've posted a comprehensive summary on our website, including the proposed timeline and how these changes might affect our neighborhood.

Looking ahead, our July neighborhood meeting is just around the corner. We'll be discussing several important topics, including updates on local infrastructure projects, upcoming community events, and opportunities for volunteer involvement. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the area, your input is valuable to us. For more information about the July meeting or any future gatherings, please visit our website at www.wehosocial.org. There, you'll find meeting agendas, minutes from past meetings, and a calendar of all upcoming WeHo Social events.

Lastly, I'd like to remind everyone to stay safe during the holiday celebrations. If you're planning to use fireworks, please be mindful of local regulations and your neighbors. Let's work together to ensure a fun and incident-free Fourth of July for all.

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Independence Day and a fantastic start to your summer. I look forward to seeing many of you at the first Wedgewood Houston 'Sip + Shop' event on July 9th.

Your neighbor,

Chad
