MESSAGE FROM CHAD

Hi everyone -

I hope this letter finds you well. As the a co-founder, it's my pleasure to welcome both our longstanding residents and those who have recently joined our vibrant community. My name is Chad DiDonato, and I'm honored to serve as your HOA president for the coming year.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for you subscribing to the WEHO Social eNewsletter. We are committed to fostering a neighborhood that we can all be proud to call home. Wedgewood Houston is more than just a collection of houses – it's a community with a rich history and an exciting future, and I'm thrilled to be part of its ongoing story.

As many of you know, our neighborhood is in the midst of an exciting period of growth and change. From the restoration of the historic Merritt Mansion to the ongoing developments at the Nashville Fairgrounds, we're witnessing the evolution of Wedgewood Houston firsthand. Our goal as an HOA is to ensure that this growth enhances our community while preserving the character that makes our neighborhood unique.

In the coming months, we'll be focusing on several key initiatives:

  1. Enhancing community engagement through regular town halls and social events

  2. Improving our green spaces and common areas

  3. Working closely with developers to ensure new projects align with our community's vision

  4. Preserving and celebrating our neighborhood's rich history

Speaking of community engagement, I'm excited to remind everyone about our monthly WEHO Social gatherings. These events take place on the second Tuesday of each month and are a fantastic opportunity to connect with your neighbors, share ideas, and stay informed about neighborhood developments. Please mark your calendars and join us for these enjoyable evenings.

I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our recent WEHO Social 'Sip & Shop' event. It was a tremendous success, thanks in large part to the participation of local businesses like La Parisienne Home and Schumacher. These events showcase the unique character of our neighborhood and the incredible talent we have right here in Wedgewood Houston.

On that note, I'm thrilled to welcome our new friends at Slim & Husky's, now open inside Diskin Cider. This exciting addition to our culinary scene is yet another example of the dynamic growth and creative collaborations happening in our community. I encourage you all to stop by and support this new local business.

Your input is crucial in shaping our initiatives. I encourage you to attend our monthly SOCIALS, join one of our committees (now forming), or simply reach out to share your thoughts and ideas. My door is always open, and I'm eager to hear from you.

For our new residents, welcome to Wedgewood Houston! I encourage you to explore all that our neighborhood has to offer – from our local businesses and art galleries to our community events. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance settling in.

To our longtime residents, thank you for your ongoing commitment to our community. Your experience and insights are invaluable as we navigate the changes and opportunities ahead.

Together, we can ensure that Wedgewood Houston continues to be a neighborhood that honors its past, embraces its present, and looks forward to a bright future. I'm excited about what we can accomplish together.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Your neighbor,

Chad DiDonato
