Americano Lounge Turns Six

Americano Lounge is thrilled to celebrate its 6th anniversary with a week-long celebration! Nestled in the vibrant Wedgewood-Houston (WeHo) neighborhood, Americano Lounge has become a beloved spot for coffee aficionados and cocktail enthusiasts alike.

A Brief History of Americano Lounge

Americano Lounge was founded by Cody Pellerin, a former musician who spent years traveling and exploring coffee shops and bars across the globe. His passion for exceptional, classic European coffee and cocktails led to the creation of Americano Lounge in Nashville1.

The name “Americano” is a nod to the blend of American and European cultures during the 1930s, particularly during World War II. This era saw the birth of a new café culture, combining the best of both worlds. The Americano coffee itself has an interesting origin story: it was created by American soldiers in Italy during WWII who added water to espresso to make it taste more like the coffee they were used to back home2.

Americano Lounge aims to revisit this rich history with its high-quality coffee drinks and cocktails, served in a posh, lounge-style environment. The goal is to get back to the roots of what a barista originally was: a skilled artisan serving exceptional drinks1.
